The Foundation “Bevrijding '45” (Liberation ’45) organizes activities related to the commemoration of the liberation of Apeldoorn in April 1945.
With these activities, it seeks to remember and to commemorate the victims and to pay a tribute to the resistance fighters, the veterans and the allied soldiers who have liberated Apeldoorn.
It also wants to keep alive the memory of what happened in the years 1940 - 1945 in Apeldoorn and its environment, and to transpose this memory, in particular for young people, into educational values.

The Board of the Foundation Liberation’45 has an originating, coordinating, facilitating and enabling role and establishes working groups for the organization of commemorations, exhibitions, education projects and liberation celebrations.
